Frequently asked questions
Do parents have to stay?
No, these classes and events are drop-off. If you are wanting to stay and volunteer, we would love that as well! To volunteer you must have a background check completed.
What types of learning will there be?
We are going to have so much time outdoors! We plan to follow nature-based curriculums and learning activities, but also fully believe that every child learns differently. We will have a mix of technology, a mix of classroom time, and a mix of nature/outdoor time. I will send frequent newsletters as well to show all the interesting things we are learning together!
Can you describe your approach to individualized learning and how it helps students succeed?
We will focus on project-based learning with hands-on experiences and interesting topics where we can incorporate their core learning subjects into a topic they enjoy to help them better remember and apply the materials they are being taught.
Is this only for homeschool children?
No, we welcome anyone to join us! Over the summer months and breaks we will be open for some fun learning camps for all to join.
My child is advanced and needs to be challenged. Will this be able to help with that?
Yes! I have a lot of experience working with gifted/advanced students. I would love to work with you on a plan that best supports your child’s growth.
What does homeschool hybrid mean?
We will be assisting in your homeschool journey by offering supplemental learning experiences and opportunities! This means the parents will still be responsible for keeping their children's records.
What do I do if I suspect my child has a learning disability?
We are happy to talk with you about next steps, community supports, and get you connected to an evaluation if needed!
Is this a faith-based program?
We would like to inform you that our program incorporates elements of our Christian faith, including daily prayers and faith-based music. Participation in these activities is entirely optional, and no child will be required to take part. We simply wish to ensure that all parents are aware of these aspects of our program.
